Tour listings tend to be vague about this, which is how people end up at a camp discovering that the camel ride costs extra. Here is exactly what the standard evening safari includes, from AED 100 per person.
In the price
- Hotel pickup and drop-off anywhere in Dubai, both ways
- Dune bashing with a licensed desert driver
- The sunset photography stop
- A camel ride
- Sandboarding
- BBQ buffet dinner, vegetarian and non-vegetarian
- Unlimited water, tea and soft drinks
- Live entertainment — tanoura and belly dance
- Henna painting
- Traditional dress photos
That is the whole evening. Nothing on that list has a surcharge at the camp.
The genuine extras
There are three, they are optional, and they are priced on the tour page before you book:
- Quad bike ride, 25 minutes — AED 150 per person
- Extended camel ride — AED 50 per person
- Front-seat photo stop upgrade — AED 30 per person
Add them when you book or decide at the camp. Nobody will push them at you.
What is not included anywhere
Alcohol. Not served on our desert tours.
Travel insurance. Your own arrangement, as it should be.
Tips. Entirely up to you. Drivers do not expect them and will not mention them.
Why you have not paid anything yet
Every tour is pay-on-the-day. You settle with your driver at the end, in cash or by card.
This is not a technicality — it changes the risk. If the weather turns and we cancel, there is no refund to chase. If your flight is delayed, there is no deposit lost. If you change your mind more than 24 hours ahead, you message us and it is done.
It also means one thing worth remembering: we will never ask for card details in advance, by email or on WhatsApp. If anyone does that in our name, it is not us — please tell us.
The other tours
The list changes a little by tour, and each tour page has its own:
- The evening safari comes in six packages, from AED 100 up to a AED 650 private family vehicle. The difference is pickup, camp seating and how much is packed into the evening — each one is listed on the tour page.
- The morning safari is AED 180 and has dune bashing, unlimited sandboarding and camels, but no camp dinner or shows — it finishes at noon.
- The overnight safari is AED 280 and adds the tent with bedding, the campfire, stargazing and breakfast after sunrise.
- The private safari is priced per vehicle: AED 900 for up to six guests, with a pickup time you choose.
- The Abu Dhabi safari is AED 65 with a shorter dune run and its own camp.
Group size
Up to six guests per 4x4. Larger groups travel in a convoy that stays together, so you arrive at the camp at the same time and sit together.
If your group is six, you effectively have a private vehicle at the per-person price — worth knowing before you book the private tour.
What we would want you to tell us
Three things make the day work, and all of them are easier to arrange at booking:
- Dietary needs. Allergies, vegetarian, anything specific — the kitchen prepares for it.
- Anyone who should skip the dune bashing. Pregnant guests, or heart, back or neck conditions. We arrange a direct camp transfer at no extra cost.
- A birthday or anniversary. The camp can do something about it if it knows.
Send us your dates and hotel and we will confirm the pickup time and the total in AED. Nothing is charged now.
